Great stay at the LF JR !!! Top location, top staff, good food, good vibe,...
1 small downside. Due to the "lack" of glass windows, all the sound comes in easily... e.g. from the active whistling frog...😁. For the rest... RECOMMENDED !!!!

I had an unforgettable stay at LF Jungle Retreat in Room Nine, which offered the most breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and the majestic Blue Mountains. The property is incredibly lush and scenic, truly a nature lover’s paradise.
The hospitality was top-notch, and breakfast each morning was a highlight. The ackee and saltfish and the rundown were absolutely delicious; huge thanks to Chef Adrian for preparing such spectacular meals!
The activities made the experience even more special. Winifred Beach was stunning, and our trip up the Rio Grande was an adventure to remember. Stopping at Belinda’s on the river for the best curry goat was the perfect touch, it’s a must-try.
If you’re looking for a serene, immersive escape with great food and amazing experiences, LF Jungle Retreat is the place to be. I can’t wait to return

A little nest in the mountains, a refuge for lovers seeking relaxation and nature!
Access by car remains the most difficult part due to the poor quality of the country's roads!

I stayed here for 8 nights. The hotel is under new ownership now, and it definitely didn’t disappoint!! Beautiful upgraded, clean, and spacious rooms. Stunning views!!! Located at the top of the hill in the jungle 🙂 very peaceful and colourful!!
I ate most of my meals at their restaurant, they have a top notch Chef that prepares delicious meals. Personally I ordered the traditional jungle breakfast (bacon and eggs) but they also served local dishes as well. I had everything from chicken piccata, lasagna, curried goat, and oxtail for dinner. Lunch has a nice selection as well, burgers, fish, and even quesadillas! Everything was homemade and well prepared.
They have a huge bar upstairs that offered high end cocktails, blended drinks, beer and sodas. There is a beautiful view with a breeze to watch the nice sunsets. Cool music is usually playing throughout the day into the evening welcoming guests from all over the world!!
Located in Portland Parish, there were plenty of excursions to check out (Reach Falls, rafting on the Rio Grande, Blue Lagoon, Frenchman’s Cove Beach…) Management was excellent at making suggestions and organizing transportation.
I had great sleeps there! all the sounds and seclusion of the jungle, yet the safety of having on site staff and security was comforting.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend to people who want to check out Jamaica in a more adventurous authentic way 🙂

My family and I stayed at the retreat for 5 days and it was one of the best experiences I've had. From the moment we walked im inwas great with smiles and welcomes from Ms Simone. She was warm and charismatic. The checking in process went smoothly and we were escorted to our room.
The property does provide a restaurant on location and I must say I enjoyed all my meals. My favorite was breakfast (that cornmealporridge was amazingni couldn't stop having about it.) I love the little walking trails and the views to the ocean. I felt safe and cared for by all the staff members. I could see myself going back on our next vacation. Be aware that the rooms do not have ac, however the big fan does the trick. Also, if you are afraid of nature (bugs) bring "off" because you will need it.
Our GPS was able to locate the property well and the retreat had signs posted on the main and up the hill to guide guest to the location as well. If your thinking about booking it just go ahead.

My Girlfriends and I have never been to Jamaica.This vacation exceeded beyond all expectations I ever dreamed of! Remote beautiful jungle, thrill seeking, relaxing ,and not touristy. We felt safe, (huge positive) Our tour guides were excellent and gave us experiences we will always treasure. .The food was exceptional.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel located right in the middle of the jungle. The staff were extremely courteous and delightful, always ready to help with anything we needed. The dinner was outstanding, highly recommended . Overall, the service was impeccable, making our experience truly unforgettable.
